With modular courses, you can start anywhere and be on track towards a rewarding coffee career. A popular certificate course that gives a solid foundation is the Introduction to Coffee module within the Coffee Skills Program.

It's a self-paced curriculum with discussions and videos. There are exercises and quiz questions to help you fully prepare for your SCA online exam.

After passing your theory exam successfully, we will meet for the practical activities & practical exams.

Most courses combine online theory with in-person practical training. Some foundation-level content can be fully online, but all practical skills require hands-on assessment.

After passing the theory and the practical exam, you will get your certification online. Which can be found on your SCA Profile under My Education.

You don’t need to have an SCA membership. However, you need to get a Learner ID from SCA, which is free.
