About The Training Format

The theory portion of the training is delivered online, and this is a deliberate choice designed to give you the best possible learning experience.
Your time is valuable, and this format helps you use it in the most efficient and effective way.

Why the Theory Is Online;

1. Learn anytime, anywhere
Study on your smartphone, laptop, or tablet — whenever it fits your schedule. No need to take extra days off work or travel just for the theoretical content.

2. Learn at your own pace
You can pause, rewind, review, and take notes at a speed that works for you. This helps you build a deeper understanding than rushing through theory in a limited classroom timeframe.

3. Avoid overload on the training day
SCA courses have a lot of theory. Trying to deliver all of it in-person often creates time pressure and reduces the quality of the practical experience.
With theory completed beforehand, the training day becomes smoother, calmer, and far more productive.

4. Better comprehension through language options
Our online theory is multilingual — very likely available in your own mother tongue. Learning complex topics in a familiar language dramatically improves understanding and confidence.

5. Strong foundation before the practical day
Coming prepared means you already understand key concepts, terminology, and science. On the training day, you’re not hearing things for the first time — you’re applying them.

6. Maximum focus on hands-on practice
Once you arrive for the in-person session, we dedicate the entire day to:

  • practical exercises

  • tasting and sensory training

  • workflow

  • brewing techniques

  • real barista skills

This ensures you get the full value of the training — the part you cannot learn online.

This blended approach gives you the best of both worlds:
flexible, effective learning online + impactful, skill-focused training in person.
